The Buried Earth Book Project

I'm taking part in the Buried Earth Book Project conceived by artist Emma Freeman who invites us to participate in a global collaborative healing art project. We are asked to create a book, to bury it and dig it up at a later date and document the process on Instagram.

It is my intention to so slowly stitch 8 small books using my scrap textiles. Each book will be buried and excavated following the festivals of the Earth's cycles. As I intuitively create my books, I will reflect on my connection to the earth, our garden and my ancestry.
